From small beginnings

Founded in 2006 by Terry Flatau as a small family business, EMP has grown today into a team of experienced electrical professionals. We’re still a family business, just a bit bigger.

At EMP we aim to be trustworthy, accountable and committed. To achieve this consistently involves ongoing training, staff reviews, plus legal and financial commitments.

Accountable. Each electrician receives ongoing education and safety training. All are regularly reviewed based on customer feedback to ensure a helpful, caring spirit.

Committed. All our electricians are employees and not subcontractors. And because we are fully committed to service work, turning down construction jobs, we are free to respond to calls quicker.

Community. The owner regularly performs pro bono services for homelessness and substance abuse shelters, and disadvantaged senior citizens. Employees also volunteer in community outreach programs.

Dependable. Technicians work very hard to complete the job on the first visit. Even if it means continuing to work after business hours to finish the job, EMP will do so, and without charging extra.

Safety. Our technicians are trained to be especially cautious in performing electrical work in public areas, to make sure passersby are safe. 

Transparent. If it appears that the job at hand is becoming costly, the electrician will inform the customer of the options before doing the work.

Trustworthy. We are licensed, bonded and insured. Our electricians are State Certified. License #870950. Bond level: $25,000.

Warranty. All of our work carries a one year, unconditional warranty. Our stress free guarantee includes parts that we supply as well.
